Job summary

Atwell, LLC is hiring a mid-level Mechanical Project Engineer to support oil & gas, CO₂, hydrogen, and RNG pipelines and facilities. You’ll lead mechanical design from concept through construction, coordinating across disciplines to deliver safe and constructible solutions.

You will collaborate with project teams, interface with clients and regulators, and mentor junior staff while maintaining design quality and schedules. A PE license is preferred/required where applicable.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required (or ability to obtain promptly).
• Experience with piping design for large pipeline systems and facilities.
• Experience interfacing with clients, EPCs, vendors, and regulators.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support project teams on assigned tasks; provide technical guidance and implement design changes.
• Interface with clients, EPCs, vendors, and regulators; communicate scope, progress, risks, and decisions.
• Coordinate with civil/structural/electrical/instrumentation teams for integrated designs.
• Mentor junior engineers/designers; contribute to mechanical best practices and QA/QC.
• Travel to offices, vendor facilities, and jobsites as needed.
