Job summary

Atwell, LLC in Houston seeks a mid-level Mechanical Project Engineer to lead mechanical design and execution for oil & gas, CO2, hydrogen, and RNG pipeline and facility projects. You’ll drive from concept through construction, coordinating across disciplines to deliver safe, compliant, and constructible solutions.

You will mentor junior engineers, interface with clients, EPCs, and regulators, and contribute to design standards while traveling to offices and job sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain promptly.
• Experience in consulting/EPC environments preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support project teams on assigned tasks; provide technical guidance and implement client-requested design changes.
• Interface with clients, EPCs, vendors, and regulators; communicate scope, progress, risks, and design decisions.
• Coordinate with civil/structural/electrical/instrumentation/process teams to ensure integrated, constructible designs.
• Mentor junior engineers/designers; contribute to mechanical best practices, standards, and QA/QC.
