Job summary

Yukon Exploration Operating, LLC is seeking an experienced Oil & Gas Controller in Dallas to lead the accounting and financial reporting functions, owning GAAP compliance, controls, forecasting support, and obligations to equity and debt stakeholders.

This hands-on leadership role requires deep oil and gas accounting expertise, independence, and ability to build scalable processes for a rapidly growing operator.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of progressive accounting experience, including meaningful experience within an oil and gas exploration and production operator.
• Deep understanding of upstream oil and gas accounting, financial reporting, U.S. GAAP, and regulatory requirements.
• Ability to independently lead an accounting function within an upstream operator.
• Strong close, reconciliations, internal controls, audit support, and management reporting.
• Experience supporting lenders, debt facilities, investors, or equity stakeholders.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Lead Yukon’s accounting function with end-to-end ownership of operations and reporting.
• Ensure U.S. GAAP compliance and robust internal controls as the business grows.
• Own financial reporting obligations to equity stakeholders, lenders, and debt facilities.
• Oversee revenue, joint interest, accounts payable, capex, and lease operating expenses.
• Manage month-, quarter-, and year-end close processes and external audits.
