Controller – Oil and Gas Division
Salary: $140,000 – $180,000 per year.
Permanent position located in Oklahoma City, OK.

Following recent corporate growth initiatives, the team is expanding to bring on an experienced Senior Financial Reporting Accountant to support SEC reporting, technical accounting, and the continued development of the corporate accounting function.

Responsibilities
- Manage all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting, and Revenue Recognition.
- Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report variances.
- Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements.
- Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting including 10-Q, 10-K, and 8-K filings.
- Research technical accounting issues for compliance.
- Support month-end and year-end close process.
- Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting.
- Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
- Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
- Additional controller duties as necessary.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- CPA certification required.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the Oil and Gas industry.
- Proven knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, standards, laws, and regulations.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to direct and supervise.
- Proficiency with NetSuite or equivalent ERP systems.
- Solid knowledge of GAAP.
- Experience with E&P and Advisory/Consulting roles.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Proven experience in Public Accounting.
- Experience in performing financial audits and ensuring compliance.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a team and independently when necessary.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
