Job summary

High Country Search Group client is seeking a well-rounded Accountant to play a key role across oil and gas accounting operations, including JIBs, revenue, royalties, cash management, investor accounting, and financial reporting.

The role offers a competitive salary from $85,000 to $105,000 with 100% employer-paid benefits and unlimited PTO. You will collaborate with management, lenders, auditors, and investors to ensure accurate financial health and reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
• Experience with oil & gas accounting systems or industry-specific software - BOLO highly preferred.
• Strong Excel capabilities with formulas, large datasets, and reconciliations.

Responsibilities

• Process JIBs, oil & gas revenue, royalty payments and related reporting.
• Perform bank, intercompany, and general ledger reconciliations.
• Support cash management, forecasting and payment processing.
• Assist with payroll accounting and 1099 reporting.
• Track investor contributions, distributions and equity balances.
• Prepare LOS and schedules supporting quarterly financial reporting.
• Research discrepancies and support month-end, quarter-end and year-end close.
