Job summary

KNAPP: Health & Safety Coordinator position at the Lancaster, TX site. Responsible for leading the OHS culture, implementing ISO 45001:2018 and OSHA standards, and managing the OHS Management System for a dynamic warehouse environment with automation.

Requires strong industrial safety background, training skills, and ability to coordinate audits and improvements across safety, quality, and compliance teams at site level.

Qualifications

• Degree in Occupational Safety or related field preferred.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and NFPA standards.
• Experience with safety programs and ISO standards.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient in data entry and reporting tools.
• Interpersonal skills and ability to train others.

Responsibilities

• Lead safety briefings and toolbox talks for the maintenance team.
• Serve as primary contact for safety-related matters at the site.
• Promote a proactive safety culture through coaching and training.
• Implement ISO 45001:2018-compliant OHS Management System at the site level.
• Support maintenance team to adhere to safety protocols and procedures.
• Collaborate with Safety Compliance to align site practices with Knapp standards.
• Maintain safety records and documentation in compliance with OSHA and internal requirements.
• Lead safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments of maintenance operations.
• Develop and maintain audit schedules and checklists.
• Support internal and external audits for ISO 45001 and ISO 9001.
• Ensure non-conformance tracking and corrective actions.
• Coordinate with quality and compliance teams on safety and management systems.
