Job summary

College Now Greater Cleveland, LLC is seeking AmeriCorps Ohio College & Career Guides to help middle and high school students and adult learners plan for college and careers in Ohio. You will advise on postsecondary options, trade schools, and industry credentials, and support families through the financial aid process.

The role is full-time for 1,700 hours over 11 months, from early August 2026 to June 30, 2027, with locations in Cleveland, Stark County, Summit County, Mansfield, and Columbus.

Qualifications

• Minimum of an Associate’s degree required (Bachelor’s preferred).
• Must be a U.S. citizen, U.S. National, or Lawful Permanent Resident.
• Strong communication and public speaking skills.
• Excellent organization and multitasking abilities.
• Commitment to promoting higher education access and completion.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Passion for helping students plan their future.

Responsibilities

• Provide college and career information to students and adult learners.
• Assist with college and career planning.
• Present classroom workshops to students.
• Plan and chaperone college and career visits.
• Assist with financial aid processes for families and students.
• Support college fairs, community events, and tabling.
• Participate in community service projects.
• Enter data on student interactions.
