Job summary

Latham & Watkins seeks an OGC Assistant – Compliance & Intake in Downtown Los Angeles, offering hybrid work with in-office presence. You will support the Office of the General Counsel by handling intake compliance programs, ethics walls, and engagement-letter workflows for firm stakeholders.

The role requires strong written and verbal communication, teamwork across offices, and the ability to manage confidential information with discretion.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Prior experience in a law firm or professional services firm is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist ethics walls program: implement walls, draft memos, handle exception requests, test system updates.
• Administer engagement terms policies and review engagement letters for issues.
• Collect and catalogue compliance docs (engagement letters, outside counsel guidelines, waivers).
• Coordinate and track attorney external affiliations; assist with surveys and maintain records in the firm database.
• Provide administrative support: meetings, video conferences, and expense reports.
