Job summary

Turner Construction Company is seeking an experienced engineer to design and develop offsite manufactured components using MCAD tools. You will create detailed 3D models and drawings, and act as a product SME within the xPL Offsite team.

You will collaborate with engineering consultants and project stakeholders to ensure code compliance and contractual specs, while applying scripting to automate repetitive design tasks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Structural, or Industrial Engineering or related field with 5+ years in manufacturing or construction.
• Experience in prefabrication and construction operations.
• Proficiency in MCAD software (Inventor/SolidWorks/CAD Mep/Rhino).
• Familiar with Revit/Navisworks/Bluebeam/ BIM 360 and related tools.
• Basic scripting/programming to automate design tasks (Python/C#).
• Strong problem-solving, attention to detail, and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Design product details applying DMFA principles.
• Develop 3D models and drawings for offsite manufactured solutions.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and consultants to meet codes and specifications.
• Support prototype testing and quality reviews for design enhancements.
• Assist with applying product to projects and identifying new products to develop.
• Develop scripting to automate routine design tasks.
