Job summary

Mount Sinai Health System in New York is seeking a Mammography Technologist to operate imaging equipment, perform screening and diagnostic mammography, and assist physicians with procedures. The role emphasizes quality, patient education, and strict adherence to MQSA/ACR standards.

Qualifications

Associates degree in radiologic technology or approved program.
ARRT Mammography certification or eligibility.
New York State license to practice radiologic technology (L.R.T.).

Responsibilities

Perform mammographic procedures including screening, diagnostic, and stereotactic exams.
Apply technical judgment to obtain diagnostic-quality studies per protocols.
Assist with patient preparation, positioning, and education.
Conduct QC functions monthly/weekly and support MQSA/ACR compliance.
Assist with ACR accreditation and radiology department activities.
Label images per SOP and ensure timely PACS transmission.
Support physician during procedures and maintain clean radiology spaces.
Document patient tracking in EPIC Radiant and schedule exams.
