Job summary

Mount Sinai Health System is seeking a Mammography/Breast Imaging Technologist to perform high‑quality breast imaging and assist radiologists in interventional procedures. The role requires ARRT radiography and mammography certifications, New York licensure, and familiarity with digital mammography, tomosynthesis, and PACS/RIS in a hospital breast imaging setting.

Qualifications

• Graduate of AMA/J.C.E.R.T. approved program in Radiologic Technology.
• Current New York State Radiologic Technologist License (Diagnostic Radiography).
• ARRT Certification in Radiography (R) required.
• ARRT Certification in Mammography (M) required or must be obtained within 6 months of hire.
• BLS required.
• Minimum 1–2 years of experience as a Radiologic Technologist.
• 1 year of mammography experience preferred (screening and diagnostic).
• Experience with digital mammography, tomosynthesis, and PACS/RIS systems strongly desired.

Responsibilities

• Performs screening and diagnostic mammography, including tomosynthesis (3D mammography).
• Assist radiologists with interventional breast procedures such as stereotactic core biopsies and ultrasound-guided biopsies.
• Performs QC functions for MQSA/ACR compliance.
• Provide patient education about imaging procedures and prepare patients for procedures.
• Record patient tracking information in imaging software and ensure images are transmitted to PACS.
