Job summary

Mount Sinai Health System is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to perform diagnostic radiographic examinations on patients referred by physicians, following Radiology protocols. You will perform routine radiological procedures, prepare and position patients, and ensure images are labeled and transmitted to PACS.

The role requires an AA in Radiologic Technology, graduation from an accredited program, NY State license or temporary permit, and 6 months to 1 year related experience.

Qualifications

• AA in Radiologic Technology or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school.
• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine radiological procedures.
• Assists, prepares and positions patients as required to perform radiological procedures.
• Provides patient education regarding imaging procedures and instructions.
• Ensures all radiographic images are labeled and transmitted to PACS.
• Maintains infection control and radiation protection practices.
• Maintains room and equipment cleanliness at shift start and end.
• Records patient tracking information into IDX and schedules exams.
• Supervises radiology students in the clinical area.
