Job summary

Turner Construction Company is seeking an experienced professional to lead Off Site Manufacturing (OSM) initiatives on Decatur, AL projects. You will guide design and construction teams, apply DFMA principles, and optimize prefabrication strategies across multiple business units.

The role requires 6+ years in construction, strong BIM and cost/schedule expertise, and the ability to coordinate vendor relations, logistics, and bid activities. Local travel is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management or related field with 6+ years in building, offsite, or prefab construction.
• Thorough knowledge of emerging construction technologies and cost/schedule coordination principles.
• Experience with BIM and continuous improvement practices; strong contract/document interpretation.

Responsibilities

• Manage technical implementation of Off Site Manufacturing (OSM) for project engagements and lead design/construction teams.
• Perform detailed analysis of architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, and fire protection systems for OSM strategy.
• Guide constructability decisions, perform quantity takeoffs, and advise on sequencing and logistics.
• Develop and implement DFMA-based prefabricated designs and material selections.
• Review designs for AHJ requirements, responsibilities, and vendor availability to support OSM.
• Collaborate with design teams on manufacturing, delivery, and assembly strategies.
• Create SOWs and responsibility matrices; support OSM strategy with governance and plans.
• Develop bidding strategies and manage vendor bid lists; coordinate with procurement for awards.
