Job summary

Kaizen Lab Inc. is seeking a skilled Welder/Fitter in Houma, Louisiana. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of five years' experience in a manufacturing environment, demonstrating proficiency in welding and fitting according to AWS D1.1 Code.

Responsibilities include ensuring component parts are properly fitted and welded, operating material handling equipment, and assisting in the training of junior welders. Qualifications

• Minimum of five years' experience in welding and fitting in a manufacturing environment.
• Must be able to get certified in 3G position on 1” plate.
• Ability to weld and get certified in 6GR position.

Responsibilities

• Properly fit and/or weld component parts to AWS D1.1 Code.
• Plan layouts/templates and stamp welder ID on completed weldments.
• Assist in training of Welder/Fitter B's in product knowledge and welding techniques.

Skills

Ability to interpret and analyze blueprints

Good oral and written communication skills

Proficient in the use of various hand tools

Ability to operate material handling equipment

Strategic thinking to resolve issues
