Kaizen Lab Inc. in Duson, LA is seeking an Offshore Construction Fitter to fit, assemble, modify, repair and install structural steel, piping supports, handrails, grating and related components for offshore projects.

The role requires reading drawings, taking precise measurements, cutting, fitting, and preparing materials for welding, working with welders, riggers, crane operators to complete projects safely and efficiently. Offshore experience and adherence to safety are essential.

Qualifications

• Reading construction drawings, structural drawings, sketches, blueprints and specifications.
• Ability to read and understand fabrication drawings and construction specifications.
• Knowledge of structural steel fitting, cutting, grinding, beveling and fabrication techniques.

Responsabilités

• Read and interpret construction drawings, structural drawings, sketches, blueprints, and specifications.
• Perform accurate measurements, layouts, and material preparation for offshore construction projects.
• Fit structural steel components including beams, channels, angles, plates, braces, supports, and other fabricated assemblies.
• Fit and install handrails, stairs, ladders, grating, equipment supports, pipe supports, and other platform components.
• Measure, mark, cut, bevel, grind, and prepare materials for welding and installation.
• Align and fit components to the proper dimensions, elevations, and tolerances before welding.
• Assist welders with material preparation, positioning, alignment, and fit-up.
• Participate in safety meetings and follow all safety policies.
