Job summary

Jobtailor seeks an experienced offshore wind technician to perform advanced maintenance and troubleshooting on wind turbines, ensuring safety and regulatory compliance. You will collaborate with onshore and offshore teams to optimize performance and interpret technical drawings.

The role requires living aboard a Service Operations Vessel (SOV) for up to two weeks, with eligibility for US work authorization and possession of a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• Experience in wind energy with 3+ years, or 2+ years offshore wind.
• Skilled in electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems with diagnostic tools.
• Willing to obtain or maintain GWO Offshore Safety Training.
• Legally authorized to work in the U.S. with a valid driver’s license and passport ability.
• Physically fit for offshore work, including heights and confined spaces.

Job description

• Perform advanced maintenance and troubleshooting on offshore wind turbines, including electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems;
• Ensure safe and compliant operation of offshore equipment, strictly following safety and environmental regulations;
• Collaborate with onshore and offshore teams to optimize turbine performance, interpret technical drawings and schematics;
• Live and work aboard a Service Operations Vessel (SOV) for up to two weeks at a time, performing duties in challenging offshore environments.

Requirements

• Experienced wind technician with at least 3 years in wind energy (Vestas V163 preferred) or 2 years in offshore wind;
• Technically skilled in electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems, with demonstrated use of diagnostic tools;
• Willing to obtain or maintain GWO Offshore Safety Training certification;
• Legally authorized to work in the U.S., with a valid driver’s license, ability to obtain a passport;
• Physically fit to meet the demands of offshore work, including working at heights and in confined spaces.
