Job summary

Moog Inc. in Blacksburg, VA is seeking an Offshore Supply Specialist who will report to the Offshore Value Stream Manager and coordinate requisitions with international contract manufacturers to support production at the Blacksburg facility.

Candidates should have a bachelor’s degree with coordinating experience or an associate’s degree with five years of coordinating experience, strong Excel skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle multiple tasks with minimal supervision, onsite

• Bachelor’s degree with 3 years of coordinating experience or 5 years with an associate’s degree.
• Experience in Microsoft Excel and applying mathematical skills.

Responsibilities

• Process requisitions to international contract manufacturers, including cost analysis and PO generation.
• Identify and communicate production requirements at international sites to support Blacksburg.
• Coordinate with international sites and Purchasing to prevent inventory shortages.
• Serve as the communication channel between Blacksburg and international sites with Sales, Program Management, Production, and Supply Chain.
• Assist in resolving problem invoices.
• Maintain purchasing policies and repository for international orders.
• Provide weekly and monthly production update reports.
• Cross-train to assist in other areas as needed.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by supervisor or operations manager.
• Work with minimal supervision.

Our team in Space & Defense is looking for an Offshore Supply Specialist to join them. You will report to the Value Stream Manager and will have an onsite work schedule in Blacksburg, Virginia.

To be considered for the Offshore Supply Specialist, here’s what you’ll need to bring with you:

• Bachelor’s degree and 3 years of coordinating experience or an associate’s degree and 5 years of coordinating experience.

• Experience in Microsoft Excel and utilizing mathematical skills

As an Offshore Supply Specialist, you will:

• Process requisitions to our international contract manufacturers. This process includes, but is not limited to, cost analysis, approval process, and purchase order generation.

• Identify, prioritize, and communicate production requirements at the international sites to support operational needs in the Blacksburg facility.

• Partner with international sites and Purchasing department to identify potential inventory shortages to prevent production gaps.

• Serve as the communication channel between the Blacksburg site and the international sites. This includes working with Sales, Program Management, Production and Supply Chain to communicate updates/needs to and from the international sites.

• Assist in the resolution of problem invoices.

• Enforce and follow policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements as they pertain to purchasing, including updating and maintaining the purchasing repository with the international orders.

• Provide reports for management on weekly and monthly production updates.

• Employee will be cross trained to help in other areas as needed.

• Any other tasks as assigned by direct supervisor or operations manager.

• Ability to work with minimal supervision

Salary Range Transparency
