Job summary

Moog Space and Defense Group in Blacksburg, VA is seeking an Inventory Control Specialist to support the Materials Manager and manage inventory for Central In-house and Offshore Inventory. You will assemble and compute data, maintain adequate stock levels, and perform daily inventory checks.

Responsibilities include following BOMs/MRPs, developing inventory control procedures, coordinating offshore cycle counts, and communicating with production control and vendors to resolve issues.

Qualifications

• Associate degree with 3 years of clerical experience.
• Manufacturing experience is preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Inventory Control Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will support the Materials Manager and manage inventory for Central In-house and Offshore Inventory. Your responsibilities will include assembling and computing data, ensuring adequate inventory levels, conducting daily inventory checks, and developing inventory control procedures.

• Experience using Excel formulas (math, filtering data, charts).

As An Inventory Controls Specialist, You Will

• Provide support to the Inventory Control Supervisor.
• Assemble and compute data from various files and sources for statistical information.
• Ensure adequate inventory of materials and products in accordance with inventory cycles.
• Conduct daily inventory of materials and products.
• Understand and follow documentation, production schedules, spreadsheets, prints, bill of materials, E-BOMs, inventory data, and MRP data/reports.
• Develop and implement inventory control procedures.
• Coordinate and manage weekly reconciliation of offshore cycle counts for Central Offshore Inventory,
• Communicate effectively with the Production Control team, Materials Manager, and offshore vendors to report inventory issues, provide causes, and implement corrective actions.
• Serve as a professional communication interface to support meetings, inventory audits, and data requests.
• Frequently use SharePoint, Workflows, and ETQ software as applicable.
• Participate in continuous improvement processes.
• Assist in training and cross-training of others.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.

Salary Range Transparency

Blacksburg, VA $50,000.00–$65,000.00 Annually

The base salary range represents the low and high end of the Moog salary range for this position in the given work location. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range(s) listed is just one component of Moog's total compensation package for employees.
