Job summary

Gulf Island LLC in Houma, LA is seeking an Offshore Combo Welder to fabricate structural and piping components for offshore deck projects. The role requires passing AWS D1.1 and API 1104 tests and maintaining QA standards in ISO/QC programs.

Responsibilities include setting up welding machines, performing structural and pipe welds, and ensuring weld quality for NDT. Offshore work environment demands safety, teamwork, and readiness to operate tools and rigging as needed.

Qualifications

• Must pass a practical welding test: WPS 362 6GR SMAW and WPS 419 6G SMAW
• 2+ years experience in Structural and Pipe Welding
• TWIC card
• Must pass pre-employment physical and drug screen
• Background check

Responsibilities

• Set and operate welding machines for applicable processes
• Weld structural and pipe components per specs
• Ensure welds pass NDT testing procedures
• Maintain safe work practices on offshore deck
• Assist with rigging and deck access
• Operate required hand tools and perform other duties as assigned
