Job summary

Gulf Island is seeking an Offshore Scaffold Builder to support steel structure fabrication and adhere to scaffold procedures and ISO/QC standards. You will erect and dismantle scaffolding, fit and bolt pipe, and position components safely

Candidates should have at least 2+ years of offshore scaffold experience, the ability to communicate clearly, and the ability to pass a pre-employment physical, drug screen, and background checks. A valid TWIC card is required.

Qualifications

• 2+ years experience in offshore scaffold building.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
• Must be able to pass pre-employment physical and drug screen.
• Must be able to pass a background check.
• Valid TWIC card.

Responsibilities

• Erect and dismantle scaffolding to provide safe work platforms.
• Fit together steel pipe, support braces and clamps.
• Lift and position scaffolding, bolt pipe and place planks.
• Use various hand tools.
• Perform all duties in a safe manner and in accordance with operating procedures.
• Perform other duties assigned by supervisor.
