Qualifications

• Three years of rigging experience for ships, shipyards, or construction projects.
• Ability to train and assist foreign nationals in back-deck operations.
• Valid rigging and forklift certifications.

Responsibilities

• Select cables and hardware according to weight and load size.
• Coordinate and direct foreign workers and equipment movement.
• Set up, inspect, and repair equipment as needed.
• Lube and maintain drum and cables; adjust as required.
• Oversee rigging to lift and move equipment and materials.
• Set up and brace hoisting equipment with hand tools or power wrenches.
• Operate machinery to move construction materials and petroleum products.
• Coordinate with Deck Foreman, Vessel Superintendents, and clients for back-deck ops.
