Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking an experienced engineer to support at-sea space hardware recovery operations. You will install, test, and troubleshoot mission-critical electrical and RF systems, and guide technicians through hazardous operations to ensure safe launch and recovery activities.

Role requires a bachelor’s in electrical engineering and 3+ years in relevant areas, plus willingness to extended ocean voyages and travel for test operations.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or equivalent.
• 3+ years of experience in electrical, RF, or network systems.
• Experience developing maintenance procedures for critical electrical systems.
• Experience installing and troubleshooting high voltage electrical systems and data acquisition.

Responsibilities

• Support installation and checkout of mission critical electrical and RF systems.
• Troubleshoot offshore electrical and network systems in real-time during launch and landing.
• Verify requirements through bench testing, integration, and field testing.
• Create automated sequences and operator panels.
• Develop activation, checkout, and maintenance procedures.
• Direct technicians during hazardous remote operations.
