Transocean is seeking an Electronic Technician to assist with maintenance, repair, and installation of electronic equipment onboard offshore vessels. You will report to the Chief Electronic Technician and work within the Electronic/Electrical group to ensure reliable operation of critical systems.

The role requires a High School Diploma or equivalent, with preferred qualifications in electronics or engineering and relevant certifications.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and related craft certificate.
• Military discharge preferred for U.S. candidates.
• Electronics/Engineering degree or trade school background preferred.
• Valid medical examination and vaccination certificates.
• Knowledge of electronic operation calculations and basic computer skills.

Responsabilités

• Carry out daily inspections and maintenance on electronic equipment.
• Ensure that the permit to work and isolation system is in place and followed.
• Maintain, troubleshoot and repair electronic systems including dynamic positioning, communication, data acquisition, computers and navigational equipment.
• Provide technical support and coordinate maintenance with other departments.
