Job summary

Chevron Gulf of America (GOA) Deepwater Operations is seeking an Experienced Electrical Technician based in Galliano, LA, rotating 14/14 on offshore facilities. You will monitor, troubleshoot, repair, and optimize electrical equipment to ensure peak reliability and efficiency across motors, switchgear, transformers, and UPS systems.

Candidate will join a multi-skilled offshore team, work 12-hour shifts on a 14-day rotation, and may operate across various Gulf deepwater facilities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of three years electrical experience in the petroleum and/or chemical industry.
• Ability and willingness to work a 14/14 offshore rotational schedule, 12-hour shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Ability to successfully complete a post-offer/pre-placement drug and alcohol screening, background check, physical, functional capacity examination
• Ability to perform troubleshooting and maintenance of electronic instrumentation, and electrical equipment associated with process systems.

Responsibilities

• Actively support Health, Environment, and Safety processes by accomplishing daily activities within applicable regulations and policies.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, and maintain wide array of electrical equipment associated with offshore oil and gas producing operations; including but not limited to: Electrical motors, Electrical switchgear and motor control centers, Distribution transformers, Lighting systems, Diesel and Turbine Generators and associated controls, DC and UPS systems, Support systems, Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning systems
• Gather, prioritize, and assist with the scheduling of electrical maintenance projects.
• Drives use of sound Reliability Engineering concepts and principles.
• Utilization of SAP to create work orders for inventory and work planning/prioritization.
• Partner with other employees and contractors to ensure that all equipment is operating at peak efficiency.
• Assure all work performed adheres to Chevron's Operational Excellence standards and regulatory requirements.
• Other duties as assigned.
