Job summary

Chevron GOA Deepwater Operations in Galliano, LA is seeking an Experienced Maintenance Technician to monitor, troubleshoot, repair and optimize offshore rotating equipment on a 14/14 schedule. The role requires a strong understanding of mechanical systems and the ability to work 12-hour shifts, including nights and holidays.

Ideal candidates hold a high school diploma with at least three years of petroleum/chemical industry mechanic experience and are proficient with SAP and MS Office.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of three years recent mechanic experience in the petroleum/chemical industry.
• Ability to work a 14/14 offshore rotational schedule, 12-hour shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to successfully complete post-offer drug and alcohol screening, background check, physical, functional capacity exam.
• Broad knowledge of mechanical equipment used in petroleum/chemical processing.
• Basic knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Must possess a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Safely monitor, troubleshoot, repair and optimize offshore rotating equipment.
• Review trends to ensure peak reliability and efficiency of rotating equipment.
• Support scheduling of mechanical maintenance projects.
• Utilize SAP to create work orders for inventory and planning.
• Perform crane and rigging operations as needed.
• Collaborate with contractors and internal teams to maintain peak equipment performance.
• Adhere to Chevron Operational Excellence standards and regulatory requirements.
