Chevron Corporation's Gulf of America Deepwater Operations seeks an Experienced Automation Technician based in Galliano, LA. You will monitor, troubleshoot, repair and optimize offshore automation and control systems, ensuring peak reliability and safety while supporting HSE processes and environmental responsibilities.

The role covers DCS/SCADA, PLCs, HMI systems, instrumentation, and industrial networks. A 14/14 offshore rotation with 12-hour shifts is required, along with related examinations

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalence.
• 3+ years automation technician experience in petroleum/chemical industry.
• Willing to work 14/14 offshore rotation, 12-hour shifts, including nights & holidays.
• Successful completion of post-offer drug and alcohol screening, background check, physical, and capacity exam.
• Basic troubleshooting of pneumatic/electronic instrumentation.
• Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Knowledge of control and safety systems; ability to perform predictive failure analysis.
• Ability to work cooperatively with a diverse team of coworkers, contractors, and customers.

Responsabilités

• Monitor, troubleshoot, repair and optimize automation and control systems offshore.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance for process control, safety, instrumentation, and SCADA/automation systems.
• Support automation equipment including DCS, HMI/SCADA, PLCs and field instrumentation.
• Review trends to determine optimal performance and reliability improvements.
• Utilize SAP to create work orders for inventory and planning.
• Coordinate with engineers and contractors to keep equipment at peak efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with Chevron Operational Excellence standards.
