Job summary

Chevron Gulf of America Deepwater Operations in Galliano, LA is seeking an Experienced Maintenance Technician to monitor, troubleshoot, repair, and optimize offshore production rotating equipment on GOA facilities.

The role involves rotating 14 on/14 off, 12-hour shifts, day and night, with a strong focus on safety, reliability, and equipment efficiency. Candidates need a mechanical background and the ability to work with a multidisciplinary team offshore.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.
3+ years mechanic experience in petroleum/chemical industry.
Willingness to work 14 on/14 off offshore rotation, 12-hour shifts including nights, weekends, holidays.
Ability to pass pre-employment screenings and medicals.
Broad knowledge of mechanical equipment used in processing.
Basic MS Office knowledge.
Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

Support Health, Environment and Safety processes and maintain safe working environment.
Troubleshoot, repair, maintain and diagnose offshore mechanical equipment (engines, compressors, pumps, generators, cranes).
Use Reliability Engineering concepts to improve performance.
Create work orders in SAP for inventory and planning.
Perform crane and rigging operations.
Collaborate with team and contractors to maintain peak equipment efficiency.
Ensure compliance with Chevron Operational Excellence standards.
