Job summary

Chevron Gulf of America (GOA) Deepwater Operations is seeking an Experienced Operations Technician to monitor, troubleshoot, repair, and optimize offshore production equipment from Galliano, LA. The role follows a 14 & 14 offshore rotation, with day and night shifts across a 12-hour schedule.

The successful candidate will join a multi-skilled team dedicated to peak reliability and efficiency by reviewing trends for optimal performance while adhering to Health, Environment, and Safety standards.

Qualifications

• Requires High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of three years recent offshore operations experience in petroleum/chemical industries.
• Willingness to work 14/14 offshore rotation with 12-hour day/night shifts.
• Familiar with operating control systems and basic troubleshooting of process systems.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Safely monitor, troubleshoot, repair, and optimize offshore production equipment.
• Review trends to ensure peak reliability and efficiency; operate SCADA and SAP work orders.
• Perform routine well testing, data logging, and record keeping.
• Support health, environment, and safety processes and respond to incidents.
• Collaborate with offshore peers and contractors to maintain equipment performance.
