Job summary

Manson Construction Co. is seeking an EHS Specialist I to support the safety program across projects. This role involves routine safety assessments, basic training delivery, incident reporting, and close collaboration with field teams to reinforce safe work practices.

Travel to project locations is typically required. The ideal candidate has early-career safety experience and a relevant degree. This position emphasizes a culture of incident- and injury-free work and adherence to company safety

Qualifications

• 0-5 years of cumulative safety experience in heavy civil construction or maritime projects.
• Bachelor's degree in occupational health & safety, engineering, construction management, or related field; or AA/AAS with 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record; BCSP safety certification preferred (e.g., STSC).

Responsibilities

• Supports safety program implementation and on-site safety practices.
• Attends project meetings and safety planning sessions.
• Performs routine safety observations and field audits.
• Documents safety violations and ensures corrective actions.
• Provides on-the-job safety guidance and toolbox talks.
• Assists with incident reporting, investigations, and near-misses.
• Supports compliance with SEMS, BSEE, USCG, OSHA, and EPA regs.
• Coordinates with subcontractors on safety requirements.
• Maintains safety files and regulatory records.
