Job summary

Transocean is seeking an Assistant Driller to support drilling operations on an offshore rig in the United States. The role involves assisting the Driller with operating drilling and mud circulation equipment, and upholding Transocean's Shared Values.

The candidate should have a high school diploma, with preferred trade/technical schooling, and possess basic computer skills along with a valid well-control certificate. Military discharge is preferred in the U.S.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Military discharge preferred in the U.S.
• Trade school or university training preferred.
• Valid medical exam and vaccination certificates.
• Knowledge of technical calculations for safe drilling operations.
• Basic computer skills expected.
• Valid well-control certificate required.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Driller in operating drilling and mud circulation equipment as instructed.
• Actively promote Transocean Shared Values.
• Provide guidance to Derrickhand, Pumphand and Floorhand.
• Maintain safety and performance standards during drilling operations.
