Job summary

EnerMech is seeking a Crane Maintenance Technician on a permanent basis to work predominately offshore. You will carry out routine and planned maintenance on pedestal cranes and related components, document tasks, and liaise with offshore management and inspectors to ensure safety and reliability.

Required: Mechanical Trade Qualification (Heavy Diesel Mechanic or Mechanical Fitter); experience with crane lifting equipment, hydraulic and mechanical fault finding, wire rope replacement, and brake

Qualifications

Mechanical Trade Qualification (Heavy Diesel Mechanic or Mechanical Fitter) required.
Experience in inspection, maintenance and repair of cranes and lifting equipment.
Hydraulic and mechanical fault finding.
Wire rope replacement and reeving.
Brake systems maintenance.
Crane major inspections and shutdowns.
Ability to read OEM manuals and engineering drawings.

Responsibilities

Carry out routine and planned maintenance and repair on pedestal cranes and related components.
Document all maintenance tasks and spares usage.
Carry out restricted crane operation for routine maintenance and testing.
Work with inspectors for periodic inspections and load testing.
Assist platform maintenance crew on other mechanical plant.
