Job summary

Altrad Sparrows, part of Altrad Group, is seeking an Overhead Crane Mechanic to service and repair cranes, interpret diagrams, perform preventative maintenance, and ensure safety compliance across onshore and offshore sites.

You will troubleshoot pneumatic, electrical, and mechanical systems, maintain detailed service records, and contribute to a culture of excellence with a focus on reliability and safety.

Qualifications

• Understand basic operations of pneumatic, electrical, and mechanical systems.
• Relevant service-related experience, with focus on electrical and pneumatic systems.
• Strong oral and written communication skills; good depth perception.
• Must have completed mandated field hours and demonstrate competency in the role.

Responsibilities

• Technical Reading: Interpret diagrams, schematic drawings, and service manuals to establish work procedures.
• Inspection and Repair: Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair overhead cranes, ensuring optimal functionality.
• Component Repair: Repair hoists and pneumatic, electrical, and mechanical components.
• Safety Compliance: Understand and comply with safety and environmental regulations.
