Job summary

Altrad Sparrows is seeking a Crane Service Technician to perform all aspects of crane service in the field and in the shop, ensuring reliable operation on offshore and onshore assets. You will inspect, troubleshoot and repair hydraulic cranes, winches, valves, engines and hydraulic components, and implement preventive maintenance while following safety and environmental requirements.

This role requires knowledge of API2C/RP2D/9A, ability to work independently, good driving record, and own hand

Qualifications

• Basic hydraulics knowledge and operation.
• Strong oral and written communication abilities.
• Familiarity with crane rigging procedures.
• Clean driving record.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Thorough knowledge of API2C, RP2D and 9A specifications.
• Owning personal hand tools is required.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, troubleshoot and repair hydraulic cranes.
• Repair winches, valves, engines and hydraulic components.
• Carry out preventive maintenance program for offshore cranes.
• Observe competitive activities.
• Contribute to company image and reputation.
• Manage and maintain assigned tools and equipment.
• Maintain and follow driving guidelines for the assigned company vehicle.
• Identify all types of crane components.
• Complete paperwork thoroughly and in a timely fashion.
• Understand Sparrows Offshore’s Quality Policy and comply with all requirements of the Quality System manual, Operating and Technical Procedures and Workplace Instructions.
• Understand and comply with all Safety and Environmental requirements.
• Perform other duties as required by Supervisor within the physical constraints of the job.
