Job summary

CORE Group is seeking an experienced Assistant Engineer for an offshore vessel operating in the Gulf. You will support the Chief Engineer in safe operation, maintenance, and reliability of machinery and auxiliary systems.

Responsibilities include engine room watches, preventive and corrective maintenance on diesel engines and generators, troubleshooting, bunkering support, and accurate record-keeping. You will assist in emergency tasks to keep the engine room ready during hitch periods.

Qualifications

MMC required for licensing and competency onboard.
USCG Medical certificate required for seagoing duties.
Passport required for travel and voyage documentation.
TWIC clearance required for access to secure facilities.

Responsibilities

Stand engine room watches and monitor propulsion and auxiliary equipment.
Perform planned and corrective maintenance on diesel engines, generators, pumps, compressors, and associated machinery.
Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues and assist with equipment repairs.
Support bunkering, fuel transfers, lube oil management, and engine room housekeeping.
Maintain accurate maintenance records and comply with company safety and environmental procedures.
Assist with emergency response duties and help ensure the engine room remains operationally ready throughout the hitch.
