Job summary

RR Donnelley (RRD) is seeking an experienced press operator in Wisconsin for first shift (6:00 AM to 2:00 PM). The role involves operating gravure and multi-color offset presses to produce high-quality color work, performing setup, make-ready, and routine maintenance tasks.

The ideal candidate will interpret complex job specifications, adjust presses for precise color and image alignment, and ensure safety standards are met.

Qualifications

• Experience setting up, adjusting, operating, and maintaining gravure or multi-color offset presses
• Ability to read and interpret job specifications and press capabilities
• Skill in making color corrections and maintaining print quality to tight tolerances
• Proficiency with micrometers and alignment to ensure correct image positioning

Responsibilities

• Set up, adjust, operate, and maintain gravure or offset presses for single-, two-, or multi-color work
• Review job specs to determine press setup according to run imposition
• Perform make-ready tasks and inspect plates/cylinders for proper positioning
• Make color corrections and press adjustments prior to production to meet quality specs
• Clean, lubricate, and maintain presses; perform routine maintenance
• Perform manufacturer-recommended periodic maintenance
