Job summary

RCI Offroad is seeking a Design Engineer I to contribute to the design and development of innovative off-road products. You will apply engineering principles, perform analyses, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to bring exciting new products to the market in a fast-paced, engineering-driven environment.

The ideal candidate has a solid foundation in engineering, proficiency in SolidWorks, GD&T, and a passion for off-road vehicles.

Qualifications

BS in Engineering or related field.
0–2 years of engineering experience (automotive design preferred).
Proficiency in SolidWorks with GD&T understanding.
Familiarity with ERP systems such as NetSuite.
Excellent verbal and technical writing abilities.
Strong organizational skills and multi-tasking ability.
Familiarity with welding and sheet metal forming processes.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Passion for off-road vehicles.

Responsibilities

Design and develop components for off-road vehicles using SolidWorks.
Conduct engineering analysis (stress, tolerance) to ensure performance, durability, and safety.
Participate in prototyping and testing to validate designs.
Collaborate with manufacturing to ensure manufacturability and cost-effectiveness.
Lead new product development projects from concept to production release.
Maintain detailed project timelines and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders.
Create and maintain engineering drawings, specifications, and installation instructions.
Communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
