The California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation seeks an Office Technician (Typing) in Kern County for a 12 Month Limited Term - Full Time appointment. This advanced journey level performs a range of difficult clerical duties including typing, document handling, and record-keeping with a strong emphasis on accuracy and confidentiality.

The Office Technician-Typing (OT) is the advanced journey level, which regularly performs a variety of the most difficult duties and is expected to consistently exercise a high degree of initiative, independence and originality in performing assigned tasks. Under the direction of a designated supervisor, the OT functions as clerical support to an assigned area. This general office work includes typing, document handling, written and oral communication, statistical and other record‑keeping functions. A high degree of accuracy, initiative and confidentiality will be expected in this position. Knowledge of computers is important, but ability to learn is vital.
Minimum Requirements in the Class Specification:
$3,829.00 - $4,936.00
New to State candidates will be hired into the minimum salary of the classification or minimum of alternate range when applicable.
