Job summary

Georgia Power is seeking an Office Survey Specialist to support Land Engineering with QA/QC of surveying and mapping deliverables. The role requires understanding of surveying principles, coordinate systems, and mapping standards, and collaboration with field crews, office teams, and contractors.

The hybrid position requires in-office presence at least four days a week in Atlanta, GA, with approximately 25% travel. A valid driver’s license is required; LSIT/RLS are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Bachelor’s in Surveying/Geomatics preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of professional land surveying experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform quality-control reviews of surveying products.
• Review plan sheets, parcel maps, boundary and topographic products for accuracy and standards.
• Process and interpret survey field data for boundary and mapping applications.
• Support field survey personnel and office mapping staff.
• Coordinate with field personnel and contractors to resolve data issues.
• Communicate schedule impacts and quality concerns to stakeholders.
