Job summary

Georgia Power in Atlanta seeks an Office Survey Specialist to support Land Engineering with accurate surveying/mapping deliverables and project quality control. The role involves field-to-office coordination, review of plan sheets, maps, and models, and ensuring compliance with standards for timely delivery.

Ideal candidates have strong knowledge of surveying principles, coordinate systems, and mapping software, with excellent communication and multitasking abilities for cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Two years of professional land surveying experience.
• Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D, Carlson, MicroStation or similar software.
• Experience processing or reviewing survey data for mapping or delivery.
• Experience applying mapping standards and QC procedures.
• LSIT or RLS certification in Georgia preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform QA/QC reviews of surveying and mapping products.
• Review plan sheets, parcel maps, boundary products, topo maps and models.
• Apply standards, procedures, and checklists when reviewing deliverables.
• Process and interpret survey field data for boundary/topographic applications.
• Support project delivery with CADD mapping and PLS-CADD tasks.
• Coordinate with field personnel and clients to resolve data issues.
• Track project status and communicate progress and risks.
