Job summary

Boyer Children’s Clinic seeks an Office Support Specialist to help offices run smoothly, greeting visitors, handling calls, and ensuring accurate, confidential client information handling.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and strong multi-tasking, communication, and organizational skills are required; prior clerical experience is preferred. This is a full-time role in a nonprofit clinical environment with a focus on children’s health services.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required or 1–3 months related experience or equivalent.
  • Previous clerical experience up to 1 year preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver world-class service by greeting visitors and answering calls or messages.
  • Enter required information into the electronic medical records system and maintain files.
  • Coordinate information exchange with agencies/vendors, appointments, transportation, and interpretation services.
  • Work with the Office Manager and front desk team to ensure department success.
  • Assist with special projects as needed.

Boyer Children’s Clinic is hiring for an Office Support Specialist!

Our Office Support Specialist helps our offices run smoothly. Some Essential Functions of the role include:

  • Delivering world-class service by greeting our visitors, answering calls/messages, and ensuring people get the information and help they need.
  • Ensuring accuracy and confidentiality with all client information; entering required information into our electronic medical records system and maintaining office files.
  • Coordinating exchange of information with other agencies/vendors, changes to client appointments, transportation needs, and interpretation services.
  • Working with the Office Manager and front desk team to ensure overall success of the department.
  • Assisting with special projects or other requests as needed.
Position Requirements
Education & Experience
  • A High School Diploma or general education degree (GED);
  • or one to three months of related experience and/or training;
  • or equivalent combination of both education and experience is required.
  • Previous experience of up to one year in clerical capacity is preferred.
Software Skills

Proficiency using a variety of computer software applications including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) is required.

  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills (oral and written).

Important Notes about the position
Pre-Employment Check

Must have the ability to pass a Washington State DSHS criminal history and background check and FBI fingerprint check.

Physical Requirements & Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel, stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, and crouch; frequently required to sit, talk, or hear; occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision. The work environment is a typical office environment with a quiet to moderate noise level. (These represent requirements that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.)

Compensation

$23.15 - $32.88 per hour, depending on experience.
