Job summary

Denver Public Schools is seeking an Office Support II to perform intermediate-level duties supporting office and school operations, including payroll, budget, and data management. You will input and manage data, protect privacy, and assist multiple stakeholders across DPS.

The role requires a High School diploma, 3+ years of administrative experience, and strong spreadsheet/word processing skills. Colorado residency is expected, with competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma, completion of G.E.D., or equivalent, required.
  • Three (3) or more years’ experience in administrative/clerical work or combination of education and experience.
  • Intermediate-level knowledge and experience with computer-based spreadsheet, data base, and word processing software.
  • Experience producing various general office documents, analysis and recommendations.
  • Bilingual skills may be required based on work location.
  • Lead for racial and educational excellence and work to dismantle systems of oppression and inequity in our community.
  • Live and work with a permanent home address in Colorado while working with us.
  • Ability with or without accommodations to meet the physical demands of the position.

Responsibilities

  • Performs research, data management, and reporting on school based or department data needs, organizes input data using district applications.
  • Monitor and track invoices and budget expenditures; prepares and processes purchasing and accounting documents.
  • Process payroll and timekeeping requests.
  • Provide additional support for other operational needs such as student safety according to District training and procedures.
  • Respond to administrative requests and provide information to DPS employees, vendors, and community members.

About This Job

Office Support II performs intermediate-level duties to support general office or school based operations, programs, and functions including: payroll, budget, data management; and maintenance of business records.

  • The salary range for new hires is $22.00 - $22.80 per hour. The salary range for internal candidates is $22.00 - $26.40 per hour.

What You'll Do
  • Performs research, data management, and reporting on school based or department data needs, Organize, extract and input data/information using district applications and other network computer software, protect privacy, confidentiality, student and employee data according to FERPA and district policy.
  • Monitor and track invoices and budget expenditures. Prepares and processes purchasing and accounting documents
  • Process payroll and timekeeping requests.
  • Provide additional support for other operational needs such as student safety, including delegated nursing duties, according to District training and procedures.
  • Respond to administrative requests. Provide information and assistance to various stakeholders which may include DPS employees, vendors, and community members.
