As an Office Specialist, you will:
- Act as the first point of contact for customers via phone and walk-ins.
- Execute the full cycle of selling and processing parking permits, answer customer questions, and provide information relative to Parking & Transit Services.
- Address customer concerns by trying to find workable solutions or answers to individual parking issues, listening to complaints, offering a suggestion form, and/or notify the appropriate supervisor.
- Prepare to open the office and maintain the front lobby and supply cabinet.
- Collect and process customer payments, generate and reconcile consolidated billing charges and credits.
- Assist with generating and processing payroll deductions, and perform data entry, research, and filing for customer information.
- Collect parking citations and impoundment fines, issue bus passes, and process departmental mail.
- Attend the Parking Advisory Committee meetings to record minutes and audio.
- Train temporary employees and student workers.

- High school or equivalent experience.
- 1+ years of experience in customer service, using technology, and handling payments.
- Competency with computers, physical and digital filing systems, and typing.
- Strong interpersonal skills, including written and verbal communication.
- Strong math skills.
- Ability to adapt well to change.
- Good problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Professionalism and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Office Administration, or related field of study.
- 3+ years of experience in customer service, using technology, and handling payments.
- Familiar with SAP.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office products.
