Job summary

COMNET COMMUNICATIONS in Flower Mound, TX seeks a Project Manager I to oversee planning, safety, execution and financial management of low voltage construction projects. The role ensures on-time, on-budget delivery with support from Senior PMs and Team Lead.

You will coordinate requirements, manage costs, forecast labor and materials, and maintain profitable projects generating about $2M yearly. Bachelor's degree preferred; 4–6 years telecom experience required.

Qualifications

• 4-6 years’ experience in the telecommunications industry.
• 2+ years college experience, bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Proven success with construction cost management.
• Strong math skills and number aptitude.
• Familiarity with large scale construction projects preferably in low voltage.
• Experience running projects with values up to $500,000 with yearly cumulative revenue of $2 MM.
• Ability to prepare simple quotes for MAC requests from existing client base.
• Familiar with low voltage products.
• Be able to complete change orders independently up to $50K under the supervision of a Team Lead or Estimator.

Responsibilities

• Plan, safety, execution and financial management of low voltage construction projects generating $2M in yearly revenue.
• Acquire understanding of project requirements including contractual, financial, technical, schedule, and scope of work.
• Manage profitable projects and maintain cash flow.
• Provide PPE and Safety Training with Operations Team.
• Attend project kick-off meetings and ensure readiness.
• Forecast and track labor and material costs for each project.
• Invoice projects to maximize cash flow.
• Develop change order pricing for items outside the original scope up to $100K.
• Provide required documentation including as-built drawings and warranties.
• Perform on-site inspections and offer technical assistance to field personnel.
