Job summary

ComNet Communications is seeking a Project Manager I to oversee planning, safety, execution and financial management of low voltage construction projects. You will work with Senior Project Managers and Team Lead to ensure on-time and on-budget delivery.

Essential duties include cost management, coordinating with safety, estimating change orders up to $100K, and maintaining profitability on projects that generate $2M in annual revenue.

Qualifications

• 4-6 years’ experience in the telecommunications industry.
• 2+ years college experience, bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Proven success with construction cost management.
• Strong math skills and number aptitude.
• Familiarity with large scale construction projects preferably in low voltage.
• Experience running projects with values up to $500,000 with yearly cumulative revenue of $2 MM.
• Ability to prepare simple quotes for MAC requests from existing client base.
• Familiar with low voltage products.
• Be able to complete change orders independently up to $50K under supervision of a Team Lead or Estimator.

Responsibilities

• Forecast and track labor and material costs throughout the project.
• Invoice projects promptly to maximize cash flow.
• Build relationships with manufacturers to learn industry products.
• Use project dashboards to track lifecycle and profitability.
• Provide technical assistance to field personnel with Team Lead support.
• Approve material invoices and technician timesheets.
• Assist Estimating and Team Lead to price change orders up to $100K.

Project Manager I – Office is responsible for the planning, safety, execution and financial management of low voltage construction projects with a cumulative yearly dollar value over $2MM. With the support of Senior Project Managers and Team Lead, ensure that projects are delivered on time and on budget.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• With the support of Team Lead acquire a thorough understanding of project requirements and objectives including, but not limited to contractual, financial, technical, schedule, construction coordination, materials, personnel, and scope of work .
• Manage and maintain profitable low voltage construction projects that consistently generate $2M in yearly revenue
• Work with Operations Team and Safety Manager to provide appropriate PPE and Safety Training
• Attend project kick off meetings to ensure all parties are appropriately prepared for project start
• Order proper tools and materials in a timely manner for each project
• Forecast and track labor and material cost throughout the project
• Invoice projects quickly to maximize cash flow
• Establish strong relationships with manufacturing partnersto gain knowledge of industry products
• Utilize Daily technology and project dashboards to track project lifecycle and profitability.
• With support of Team Lead and Operations Team, provide technical assistance tofield personnel
• Approve and sign all material invoices and technician timesheets
• Work with Estimating team and Team Lead to generate and submit changeorder pricing for all items outside the approved original scope of workup to$100K
• Provide required documentation including ‘as-built’ drawings, cable certification reports and applicable warranties
• Perform on-site inspections of local work locations
• Other duties as assigned
