Job summary

Midwest Express, a trusted leader in expedited freight and line-haul trucking, seeks an Office Operations Specialist to support driving and logistics teams. The role focuses on ensuring smooth, timely freight movement in a fast-paced environment.

Starting at $50K based on experience, paid weekly, with medical/dental/vision/life/401K after 90 days and PTO available. Mon–Fri, noon start. Opportunity to grow within a company serving the Midwest and beyond for over 40 years.

Qualifications

• 1 year of trucking or logistics experience preferred.
• Strong PC skills and ability to learn new systems quickly.
• Excellent communication across phone, email and in person.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Dependable, accurate, and able to meet tight deadlines.
• Strong organizational skills and willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Communicate effectively with drivers and internal teams via phone, email, and in-person.
• Monitor shipment progress and proactively resolve any issues or delays.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation for all shipments.
• Utilize PC-based systems to track, update, and manage logistics information.
• Assist with Dispatching and quotes.
• Meet deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Support the overall efficiency and reliability of the overall operation.
