West Virginia is seeking a detail‑oriented clerical worker under general supervision to perform multi‑step office tasks, including scheduling inmate visits, verifying visitor identities (attorneys, probation/parole, volunteers), handling mail, calls, and routine data entry.
This position requires a high school diploma and involves maintaining inmate files, inputting data in the OIS system, typing memos and reports, and assisting administrative staff with notices.
Under general supervision, performs full performance level work in multiple-step clerical tasks calling for interpretation and application of office procedures, rules and regulations. This position schedules inmate visits and verifies the identity of all facility visitors (attorneys, probation/parole, volunteers). Duties may include processing of inmate and facility mail, answering and directing phone calls, sorting and filing documents, and routine data entry. May assist administrative staff with typing memos, reports and notices. Maintain hard copies of inmate files as well as utilizing the OIS system to input inmate file information. Will perform other duties as assigned.
