Job summary

Avita Health System in Ohio is seeking a Medical Assistant to join the Oncology Department across Galion, Ontario, and Bucyrus locations. The role blends administrative support with direct patient care to promote comfort and efficient patient flow.

You will perform required procedures as directed, assist clinicians, and contribute to a collaborative, inclusive team. The ideal candidate has a high school diploma and BLS, with preferred MA/STNA/EMT/Paramedic certification.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• BLS Certification or obtained within 30 days of hire.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Certification or Registration as a Medical Assistant, STNA, EMT or Paramedic (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Performs administrative and direct care services to promote patient comfort and satisfaction.
• Responsible for patient flow during the visitation process and for required procedures and tasks as directed.

Position Overview

Performs a variety of administrative and direct care services to promote patient comfort and customer satisfaction. Responsible for patient flow throughout the visitation process and performing required procedures and tasks as directed.

Qualifications

Required

• High school diploma or equivalent
• BLS Certification or obtained within 30 days of hire.
• Valid driver’s license.

Preferred

• Certification or Registration as a Medical Assistant, STNA, EMT or Paramedic.
