Job summary

Avita Health System in Ohio is seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to join the Bariatric Department at our Galion and Ontario locations. The role combines administrative support with direct patient care to promote comfort and smooth visitation flow.

You will perform required procedures and tasks as directed, with a focus on teamwork, patient satisfaction, and ongoing professional growth within a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• BLS Certification or obtained within 30 days of hire.
• Valid driver’s license is required.

Position Overview

Performs a variety of administrative and direct care services to promote patient comfort and customer satisfaction. Responsible for patient flow throughout the visitation process and performing required procedures and tasks as directed.

Qualifications

Required:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• BLS Certification or obtained within 30 days of hire.
• Valid driver’s license.

Preferred:

• Certification or Registration as a Medical Assistant, STNA, EMT or Paramedic.
