Kennesaw State University is seeking an Office Manager for World Languages and Cultures at the Kennesaw campus. The role provides administrative support to a department, manages records, budgets, and purchasing, and may supervise staff and student workers.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of relevanteducation and/or experience

Responsibilities

  • Assists with assigned area administrative and clericalduties
  • Maintains email, voicemail boxes and filing system
  • Receives and distributes incoming and outgoing mail
  • Manages supply inventory and submits invoices for payment
  • Responsible for utilizing and maintaining the department’s purchasing card (PCard), cash and/or credit card
  • Prepares department meeting agendas, meeting notes anddistributes accordingly
  • Assists with projects and event support
  • Creates and maintains office related records and reports
  • Interprets, monitors, and analyzes information regardingoperating reports, policies and procedures
  • Oversees and coordinates the day-to-day office operations
  • May supervise assigned staff and/or student assistants

(Primary Location for JobResponsibilities) Our Kennesaw campus is located at 1000Chastain Road NW, Kennesaw, GA 30144.

Our Marietta campus is located at 1100 SouthMarietta Parkway, Marietta, GA 30060.

Provides administrative and clerical support to assignedlocation, department, college and/or unit. Develops, maintains andensures compliance of department records. Assists with budgetarymatters, tracks department funds and purchasing. Compiles reportsand monitors assigned projects and/or program components. Maysupervise assigned clerical staff and/or student assistants. Maymaintain the assigned location's Purchasing Card (PCard) usage andprocesses.

Educational Requirements

Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution of highereducation in related field or an equivalent combination of relevanteducation and/or experience

Required Experience

Three (3) years of related administrative, office or clericalexperience

Preferred EducationalQualifications

An advanced degree from an accredited institution of highereducation in a related field

Preferred Experience
  • Previous experience with office management or staffsupervision
  • Previous experience in higher education

The salary range for this position is $19.60 to $24.55 per hour.Offers are based on relevant experience.
