Dept of Corre - Central Admin in Virginia is seeking an Office Manager: Security Operations Unit to provide procurement‑centered administrative and analytical support. The role coordinates assignments, tracks orders, and ensures timely acquisition of goods and services essential to unit operations.

The candidate will interpret policies, manage requisitions in eVA, maintain inventory records, and prepare budget tracking materials.

Qualifications

Job Duties

Reports to the Supervisory Operations Specialist and provides procurement‑centered administrative and analytical support to the Operations and Logistics Unit. Serves as a key link in initiating assignments, prioritizing operational needs, and ensuring the timely acquisition of goods, services, and materials essential to unit functions. Reviews, tracks, and conveys critical procurement and logistical data, ensuring accurate documentation, compliance‑aligned responses, and effective coordination that supports operational readiness across assigned units.

Minimum Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Detailed knowledge of business office practices, procurement procedures, and state purchasing guidelines.
  • Experience performing administrative support duties such as correspondence management, recordkeeping, workflow coordination, and providing operational support across multiple units.
  • Experience with procurement systems, preferably eVA, including processing requisitions, coordinating orders, maintaining inventory, and reconciling purchase card transactions in compliance with established policies.
  • Ability to interpret and apply policies, guidelines, and procurement rules to ensure compliant and efficient operations.
  • Strong computer skills, including the ability to draft and proofread correspondence, manage spreadsheets, prepare presentations, and develop tracking systems to support procurement, inventory, and budget activities.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple assignments, analyze issues, and recommend solutions while maintaining accuracy, professionalism, and ethical standards.
Additional Considerations

Knowledge of eVA, purchase card, and procurement and contracting protocols. Demonstrated ability to communicate with department management, and to coordinate office activities.
